Veneer treatment: Stand out from the crowd with a perfect set of teeth

Have you ever been embarrassed by the rude comments on your worn or chipped teeth? You are one among millions who go through such a humiliation. With a new veneer treatment from Corner House Dental Practice you can put an end to all such embarrassing moments and insults. We have our own veneer treatment that can make your teeth perfect and bring back the smile on your face.

What is veneer treatment?

Veneer treatment is provided with the purpose of improving the appearance of your teeth by attaching veneers that are thin shells of porcelain to the front of the teeth. This can be done to teeth that are worn, gapped, chipped, misaligned or discoloured and thereby change the shape, size, colour and length of your teeth.

What are the advantages of veneer treatment?

  • Veneers resist stains better than natural teeth.
  • Veneers have light reflecting properties that are similar to those of natural teeth.
  • Veneers make minor tooth defects disappear.
  • Veneers can cover existing fillings that have become stained.
  • Veneers can be applied to one tooth or many teeth simultaneously.
  • Veneers can be tested by fitting them to your teeth temporarily and easily.

What is the procedure in veneer treatment?

At Corner House Dental Practice veneer treatment normally follows a standard procedure. The first part of the process is where our dentist examines your teeth. Only later will we make and apply the veneers.

During your first visit our dentist will examine your teeth to check your suitability for veneer treatment. Once he makes certain that you have a genuine need for the treatment, he will discuss with you the procedures involved as well as their advantages and limitations. X-rays and impressions of your teeth may be taken as well at this time.

The next step could be to remove some enamel from your tooth surface to provide the space for the veneer. Then we can make the model or impression of your teeth based on which the veneer is constructed. Once we receive the veneers from the laboratory we can then start applying them to your teeth.

Before applying the veneers to your teeth, we will place them temporarily on each tooth to check whether they fit and that their colour matches your teeth exactly. Then the veneer is removed and trimmed until it is adjusted to make an exact fit. Once the veneer is attached to the teeth the excess cement will be removed and the final adjustments will be made.

Though your veneer treatment will now be complete it is a good idea to keep visiting your dentist occasionally for check ups and cleanings to ensure your continued dental health.
